Mission: 
Provide the best, safest, and most enjoyable football and cheer experience for all youth athletes of Sandpoint who want to play regardless of financial situations. Promote and encourage upstanding young men and women with emphasis on hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship.

SAFL Commitment:
SAFL is founded on the premise of "every kid who wants to play will play". SAFL builds a foundation of future leaders with the commitment of respect, hard work, dedication, and loyalty.  We believe in a strong community because of this you will see SAFL helping at many community events around Sandpoint. 

SAFL is a structured, yet fun, football and cheer program that strives for girls and boys to participate. From the early stages of grades 3rd through 8th our youth athletes will learn fundamentals and not developing bad habits in both cheer and football will make a better and safer game.

SAFL Football run offensive and defensive schemes to help development in the game. SAFL Cheer has been built to teach level 1 stunts, cheers, and routines. Both SAFL Football and Cheer creates a strong foundation leading to High School athletics.

Athletes will learn offensive and defensive schemes to improve their development in football. The intent is to offer an affordable football program option with more games in Sandpoint and the local surrounding area.

Every coach shall have a full national background check and shall be scrutinized for fair play, safety, and unbiased abilities.  Every coach shall have USA Football Heads Up certification prior to beginning coaching. Coaches shall not receive any type of pay supplement and shall coach based on each individual child’s interest and skill level.

SAFL is committed to establishing a positive competitive environment for our athletes and fans. It's our responsibility to be fully accountable at every level as we support student success.

Athletes, Coaches, and Staff
As representatives of  SAFL, we expect our athletes, coaches and staff to uphold our commitment to sportsmanship by creating an atmosphere of respect. Unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated.

Fans and Students
Racial, sexist, derogatory or profane actions or language directed toward players, coaches, team representatives, officials, event management or other spectators will not be tolerated. Event management personnel – with cooperation from campus security – reserves the right to remove attendees from the competition site.
