SAFL 2026 Football & Cheer Season

We are looking for Coaches & Team parents who are enthusiastic in helping shape our season by supporting the League & the athletes. When you register your athlete, please let us know if you're interested!

We also appreciate parent & family help volunteering. It takes a village! Let us know where you would like to support the SAFL program. We have a variety of opportunities.

Dates to look forward to:

Coaches Meeting (Football & Cheer): July 8th, 15th, & 22nd @ 6:00p.m. - 8:00 p.m. MANDATORY FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO BE A COACH.

Team Parent Meeting (Football & Cheer): July 27th 6:00 p.m. MANDATORY ATTENDANCE FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO BE A TEAM PARENT.

Equipment Checkout (Football): July 31st. Times by Team TBD.

Jersey/Uniform Checkout (Football & Cheer): Will be dispersed just prior to the first games. Please note: socks, cleats, & cheer shoes will NOT be provided - these are the responsibility of the parents.

Practice Dates & Times: Starting August 4th, Tuesday through Friday @ 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Younger teams will practice shorter time periods (done @ 7:30 p.m.). All practices will be at Great Northern Field. 601 N. Lincoln Sandpoint, ID 83864 Season Start Dates/Times:

Camp (Football & Cheer): July 28th - July 30th. 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Please keep a look out for emails/communications for specifics.

1st-2nd grade Football: Schedule TBD. Will be emailed out as soon as completed.

3rd-4th grade Football: Sandpoint Jamboree Friday, August 21st. Field & time TBD.
First Game: Wednesday, August 26th. Last Game: Wednesday, September 30th.

5th & 6th grade Football: Jamboree Friday, August 21st. Field & time TBD. First Game: Saturday, August 29th. Last Game: Saturday, October 24th.

Spokane Jamboree: ALL TEAMS Saturday, August 22nd in Spokane. Dwight Merkel Field. 5701 N. Assembly St. Spokane, WA 99205.

Cheer: Follows the Football schedule based on grade & what team you are cheering for.
